Use the simple instructions below to manually change the way your web browser displays the size of the text on a web page.
You may have to repeat the process for different pages during a browsing session. All these easy processes involve using your web browser's VIEW menu. Select the internet browser you use:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) (all versions)
o To increase Font Size: use your browser menu View | Text Size | Larger
o Decrease Font Size:use your browser menu View | Text Size | Medium
Note: Windows XP also has a built-in screen magnifier that you might find useful as you browse the web. Instructions for its use can be found |here|.
- Mozilla Firefox (all versions) and Netscape Navigator (version 7)
o Increase Font Size: click View | Text Zoom | 120% or press CTRL + +
o Decrease Font Size: click View | Text Zoom | 100% or press CTRL + -
- Netscape Navigator and Communicator (version 4.xx)
o Increase Font Size: click View | Increase Font or press CTRL + ]
o Decrease Font Size: click View | Decrease Font or press CTRL + [
- Opera (version 6.0x)
o Increase Font Size: click View | Zoom | 120%
o Decrease Font Size: click View | Zoom | 100%
